News of Arty Treasure - October 2018

What's New InStore at Art by Jenny ... 15 Oct 2018

So much is happening here in little old Adelaide! Restocks of inks, paints, mediums, stamps, stencils, pencils, markers, paper, journals and everything are arriving regularly so if something is out of stock, it won't be for long. Feel free to message or phone me on 0428898120 if you need something in a hurry :) Everything mentioned in the following essay is either under "PreOrders" or "What's New".

Sadly, some things get discontinued but thankfully, our fantastic designers are always dreaming up wonderful new products, designs and colours that we all simply must have (to use or collect, either or! lol). Nearly all the brand new treasures by Tim Holtz, Dyan Reaveley, Rachel Greig (Darkroom Door) have been ordered and while some are here, there is plenty more on the way!

The picture shown of the beautiful mermaid isn't new, just thought I'd show her off. This ATC (artist trading card) is made using Jane Davenport's stamps (original ones with the mermaid, lighthouse and seahorse). Hasn't she turned out beautifully?

The other day I discovered a very useful link - Everything All At Once - basically, it is every single treasure in my whole online shop and you just use the tags to sort out what you're looking for. Hopefully it helps. I'm cleaning up the tags and categories to make your shopping experiences easier, faster and more efficient.

Tim's beautiful collection of Christmas ...
Stamps, stencils, die templates (by Sizzix) and Idea-Ologies looks so beautiful (the gorgeous gorgeous collage papers are already here, and yes, they are simply stunning - I may have exaggerated slightly by using "gorgeous" twice but honestly, this range of tissue collage paper is amazing. I love it. If you want a sample, ask me, I'm always happy to share :)

I'm slowing gathering onto my shop shelves (and in the studio - well, a girl has to test the merchandise!), every single treasure by Tim Holtz - including a few old favourites that are finally in store (typed tokens, silverware (cutlery), lockets, heart charms, cameo frames, baroque frames, glass mason jars and their matching lids with a stand, etc).

More Arty News ...
Dyan Reaveley has just released 3 sets of truly adorable Christmas stamps and fabulous range of stencils and as you might have seen, the stamps are out of stock already. Don't panic just yet - more are on their way. The stencils haven't arrived yet but will be here very soon (love that mermaid scale stencil).

They're travelling with (ta dah! drumroll please) the Jane Davenport Artomology Clear Stamps! How exciting is that? I know...! I can hardly wait to start using Poppy Girl (perfect timing for Remembrance Day) and the beautiful Narwhal stamp :)

Miranda van den Bosch's wonderful stamps and stencils from her latest Rainbow Designs 'Bloom' collection are in stock! They're made by Studio Light. The toadstool stamps are so groovy and the flowers are beautiful! Love them all :)

Finnabair's beautiful metallic and Impasto paints have made themselves at home with a whole bookcase to themselves. The quality is excellent and the colours are amazing. So far, my favourite is the Sparks Dragon's Eye (its beautiful). Choose from Impasto Acrylic Paints, Metalliques, Opal Magic and basics like Gesso, 3D Gel, Paper Texture Paste and Mediums. If you can't see your fave colour, msg me so I can get it here faster :)

Rachel Greig has designed more stamps for Darkroom Door too... fabulous quotes, backgrounds and sets for Christmas are on their way too. Plus basic shape stencils, perfect for creating borders or centres on cards (rectangles, ovals and circles).

Inside Your Parcel ...
This month (October 2018), the artwork featured on the little Thank You card is of a Twilight Veggie Patch, created inside my Jane Davenport art journal. I've used Tim Holtz treasures (Pumpkinhead and Ravens stamps with various stencils) and Dylusions paints. On the blog you will find easy to follow, step by step instructions, photos and list of products used. Here's my blog, "A Life Less Ordinary" : https://artbyjennydesign.blogspot.com or click here to visit my craft blog.

Whatever gift you receive in your parcel, I hope you find it useful, inspiring and makes you smile but if not, give to a friend. Everything is always better shared :)

Places for sharing, encouraging, inspiring, helping...
These 3 links : Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook : are where I love to hang out when I'm not creating art or working in the shop! I hope what I share inspires you to be creative, which as you know, is really good for our heart and soul. Are you there too? Feel free to add @Art.byJenny or #ArtbyJenny or #aLifeLessOrdinary to your posts - I'd love to see what you create! Adding the hashtag before any word (in Facebook or Instagram) turns it into a searchable link.
