Make Art This March

What's been happening at Art by Jenny?

Art by Marlene 5.0 treasures have started to arrive with beautifully printed rice paper collage sheets (perfect for journals, scrapbooking and cardmaking), fabulous stencils and a very pretty pencil case - long enough for paintbrushes, rulers and even phones! Check out the "What's New!" collection for details.

Arty Treasure Updates... Dylusions 2oz bottles of paint and Dina Wakley's Glossy Paint Sprays have arrived, Dyan's everythings (new stamps, stencils, collage sheets, postcards, Bigger Back Chat stickers and adhesive canvas) are due to be here tomorrow! Dyan's stamps are mostly sold out but more have already been ordered so you won't miss out!

Darkroom Door stamps have also arrived and their amazing stencils will be online this week... there are three sizes, featuring lavender, stars, grungy borders and a fabulous script design.

Tim's first series of fun stamps and stencils are here ... well, they were! Snarky Cats, Tiny Text and Field Notes is sold out again! More arriving later this month :) Any new treasures that are sold out will be available as PreOrder again or you can watch their spaces. Whatever you wish!

The second series is here and is so beautiful, a new favourite! That doesn't help does it? I love it all :) lol. All the stencils are gorgeous! Series 3 will be leaving the USA early March, so all being well they'll arrive as planned 2-3 weeks later.

The awesome new collection of Idea-Ology Findings, Ephemera die cuts, embellishments and more treasures are being packed as I type, can't wait to see those Field Notes packs of die cuts :)

Tim's collection of mediums are now available in Grit Paste (now in both opaque and translucent), Crackle Paste and Texture Pastes. They compliment all his other mediums (Craze, Vintage and Resist Spray). The His Distress range also includes embossing pens and dauber bottles with embossing ink. (online shortly)

Also new instore are the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glazes by Ranger. The 12 versatile colours, all matching the whole Distress range, will add a vintage shine to your artwork. Its used the same way as other embossing powders ... apply ink to your surface, sprinkle on the powder, tap off excess and heat to melt. Its so cool watching embossing powder melt...

Creative Corner

This fairy sewing with a pretty metallic thread is from my latest art journal for the Australian Art Journal Swap of 2019.

artwork by Jenny James of mixed media using Distress inks and Dylusions Paints

I've used a cupcake fairy (I cut off her toothpick), Distress Inks, Dylusions acrylic paint, stamps, stencils and cheesecloth 😎 The theme is Paper Dolls, a page inside my own book for a change! The fairy wears Tim Holtz Transparent Wings and holds a real embroidery needle with pretty metallic threads, but won't get much sewing done as its glued in.

One of Tim's Idea-Ology Paper Dolls would have been perfect for a fairy but I didn't think of it til after 🤣 Gotta love bright ideas after its all finished! I'll add the instructions this week to my craft blog, A Life Less Ordinary.
