Minc Mini Foil Applicator ... by Heidi Swapp - 6.25" wide opening with heated motorised rollers.
With the Heidi Swapp Minc Foiling System, you can achieve professional foil effects quickly and easily using the machine, heat reactive foils (sold separately in dozens of colours), cardstock or paper, and a foiling adhesive.
The adhesive can be almost anything including - toner (pen, ink, spray, screen ink), Minc Ink, Minc Texture Paste, matte medium, tacky glue, Distress Resist Spray, Ranger's Embossing Powder, almost anything - have a play with what you have, making sure to use heat resistant mediums nothing flammable! Plus, ensure the adhesive of choice is totally dry before foiling. All sold separately!
If you have access to a laser printer (not bubblejet or inkjet - it needs to be toner as when it heats up the foil sticks to it) - you have the versatility to add foil to any design you can dream up.
Apply the Minc Ink (sold separately, in store hopefully August) to rubber stamps with a brayer for best effect... check out the blog post from Tim Holtz for more details (ask me, I have it all bookmarked). Make sure to clean off your stamps.
Add foil as a featured design, highlight an area or cover a background, layer onto a scrapbook page or make a bookmark. Once the foil has been applied using the Minc Machine (Minc Mini Foil Applicator), it is permanent, smooth and scratch resistant.
Foils are sold separately in rolls of both 6" wide and 12" wide ... trim your pieces of foil to suit your project before application. Use the leftover foil from one project to create amazing backgrounds on another. Then use the remaining clear cellophane as a window, wings for insects or another layer (colour with alcohol inks!). No wastage :) Foil can be die cut, trimmed with scissors and altered after application. Have fun!
