Distress Frosted Crystal - by Tim Holtz and Ranger - an embossing powder that when melted, has a semi transparent matte finish.

Tim Holtz Distress Frosted Crystal is an embossing medium designed to create a matte frosted texture on cardstock and coated surfaces. Use Frosted Crystal as an embossed foundation for watercoloring with Distress Crayons, Ink, and Oxide.

Ideal for abstract art, cardmaking, mixed media, collage, visual arts of any kind!

How to use Embossing Glaze ...
- Apply Distress Ink, Oxide Inks, embossing ink, Paint or a medium to your chosen area (with a stamp, through a stencil or freehand with spatula, brayer or brush).
- Sprinkle or pour on the embossing powder before the ink dries.
- Tap off excess (if you wish).
- Use a heat tool to melt the powder into a clear see-through matte finish.
- Leave to cool (only takes a minute).

Its best to use an embossing powder with a slow drying ink, paint, adhesive or medium - and one that won't react to being heated (as some may bubble up if heated, always check the medium's instructions or test first).
If using a fast drying ink, you won't have time to apply the powder before it dries. The ink or medium holds the powder in place until it is heat set.

The clear jar allows for ease of dipping, pouring or sprinkling, whichever you prefer to do. The 1.5" wide opening makes it easier to pour the excess back into the jar. To make it easier to pour excess powder into the jar, work over a sheet of clean dry paper that's been folded in half (giving you a crease to pour along).

Acid free and non-toxic.

Jar contains 2.18 oz (62 gr).

Also available (all sold separately) from 'Art by Jenny' are all of Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress range including Embossing Glaze, Oxide Inks, Sprays and Reinkers, Ink Pads, Mini Ink Pads, Reinkers (refill bottles), Water-Soluble Crayons, Spray Stains and Distress Paints.
