Aleene's Jewel-It embellishing adhesive permanently bonds beads, glass, buttons, gems, plastic, acetate, acrylic, rhinestones, pearls, sequins and other embellishments permanently to fabrics, even through repeated washings.
A superior formula for bonding hard-to-hold embellishments to both porous and non-porous surfaces (ie, acrylic, glass, crystal, paper and fabric). Dries clear and glossy.
Ideal for (but not limited to) arts and crafts, home decor projects, wearables, repairs, mixed media, journaling, cardmaking, beading and quilting.
How to Use...
Apply glue to fabric (or paper) surface. Push embellishment into the glue until glue rises around the edges. Let glue set 10 minutes before applying metal or glass. Let dry for 24 hours before wearing and wait 7-10 days before washing.
Ideally, apply glue to both the surface and piece that is to be attached. Leave apart until they are tacky (only about 5-10 minutes), then push together firmly and leave alone for an hour or so. Resist the urge to prod and lift to see if its dry yet!
Always test in an inconspicuous area or make a sample before use as every object and surface is different. If used too thick, it dries cloudy like scrunched up cling plastic. Less is more.
