POSCA Pencils are an excellent quality artist grade pencils, soft to medium firmness made of a combination wax and oil-based. They are highly pigmented with 36 beautiful concentrated colours. They are creamy and smooth to use yet firm for long lasting colouring moments, fade-resistant (lightfast), some colours are opaque (fantastic for colouring or sketching on coloured cardstock like kraft) and like all good quality pencils, easy to use.
Posca pencils have a smooth and soft application, and if required, able to be blended on their own as well as with other tools like burnishers, blenders, clear blending pencils, oil mediums and solvent blenders. They layer over and under each other as well as mixing together to create a while range of tones, hues and varying colours.
This 36 pencil set includes one each of the POSCA Pencil Colors in a durable hard-shell storage case with 3 layers and a clear durable lid. Each pencil has been dipped in black with the ends dipped in the colour of the pencil (with a very close match to the actual colour) and the number of the colour is printed on the end. They're pre-sharpened, ready to use straight out of the box.

The colour chart in the photos was created on a warm white, textured cotton paper to show you an example of all the colours. The close up photo of my pencil jar that lives next to my chair wasn't planned therefore most are blunt and well loved.
