October appeared on the calendar so fast this year, and now it's late November! Crazy! Where does the time go? It's been an incredible and inspiring rollercoaster of new product releases, demos showcased, beautiful projects made by clever people, products tested (and enjoyed!), and deliveries of boxes filled with arty treasures arriving almost every day!

Tim Holtz Arty Treasure Update ... A new trimmer! This full sized cutter is a sliding kind with swappable cutters and scorers, especially designed for card making, bookmaking and scrapbooking, as it is quick and precise. The track which holds the blades is handy as it stays up, ready for you to simply slide the paper through. No flipping the track, unless you want to :) It is large but not heavy, is balanced and easy to carry and use

Dyan Reaveley Arty News ...
Dyan has been busy all year designing and creating wonderful new arty treasures for us to buy, use and share in her range of life essentials! So far, we have new stencils (large and small, Coffins and Webs), Dy Cuts (Me Monsters and Me Houses, black and white printed images ready to use) and 4 wonderfully crafty stamp sets. These look fantastic, perfect for doodling, backgrounds, patchwork in fabric or paper, using with the previous hexie stamps and stencils... so many ideas! Fun fun fun for everyone :)
Ahhh! Awesome! Did you see the news with the announcement of Dyan's Dylusions Dyamond range of ultra thick embossing powders (Dyamond Rocks) in 6 colours plus clear, Dyamond Dust (Perfect Pearls) in 6 colours, chipboard shapes (hexagons, squares and rectangles), soft brushes, clear embossing inks (Dyamond Medium) in an inkpad and dabber bottle plus a beautiful sparkly bottle of Stickles Glitter Glue in "Diamond" - what a wonderful way to create wallart, book covers, greeting cards, ATCs and anything else you want to make with dimensional Dylusional colour!

Originally I wrote that more secret squirrel stuff was being revealed soon, while Dyan's at Ranger HQ. However! I understood what they said wrong... I'm sorry! Only the 3-day workshop Dyan was teaching was secret becuase they were using the newly release Dyamonds range. It was not another product reveal. Sorry to disappoint you all.
Still, Dyan's Dyamonds range is pretty awesome so we have heaps to play with while waiting for paint to dry :D Ultra Thick Embossing Powder and Perfect Pearls have been with Ranger for years. Dyan has revived these old products into gorgeous Dylusions colours, and using them in new ways. Did you know you could layer up heated embossing powders to be thick and then stamp into it while warm? Very cool :)
I had a crafty time using a Dina Wakley MEdia chipboard flower. I altered it using Dylusions Dyamonds Rocks in clear over Ranger Stickles Gel (glitter and sequins gels). The result is magical! A lot more sparkly than the photo too :)
The Dyamonds Dusts are like Ranger's Perfect Pearls in our favourite Dylusions colours. It is a mica powder infused with a resin binder which enables it to be layered easily then set with a simply misting of water. Stamp an image or stencil a pattern using the Dyamonds Dabber or Ink Pad, which is the clear embossing ink. Lightly dip the fluffy brush into the pot of colour to pick up a fraction of dust and blend it over the wet ink. Misting with water (not soaking) once you are finished will set the Dyamond Dusts and help it stay put. Practice the technique on dark, kraft and light papers and surfaces and enjoy playing with this marvellous pretty powder.

Stamp Sets and Sticky Back Canvas (fabric adhesive tape). Dina has designed for us to use, 4 sets of wonderful stamps and Ranger have made some more of their Sticky Back Canvas in handy 1 1/2" wide rolls! Which of these versatile mindful stamps will you use first?
Neon Glossys! Six colourful Neon acrylic fluid paints inside bottles with eyedroppers instead of the usual spray nozzle. Eye droppers are a great idea and these ones reach right to the bottom of the bottle! We also have spare long droppers and sprayers in stock.

Eye droppers are a great idea. I also to use the straw of the sprayer bottle for drawing or flicking which gives great tiny splatter (eye droppers give bit splatters), a splatter brush and an old toothbrush for making a mess, and a paintbrush for everything else. A pippette works too as would reusing an old eyedropper (washed out) from another bottle - Ranger's droppers are a fantastic length, they reach right to the bottom of the bottle! We also have spare nozzles and a few long eye droppers in stock too :)

The seasonal Distress Crayons for Christmas and Halloween have landed! The colours are gorgeous, shimmery and perfect to use all year round. We also have all the seasonal Distress Mica Stains too :) Love how the colours react and dry, don't you? The Rock Candy Distress Glitter in the beautiful labelled bottles are limited edition and stocks are rather low!

During October Tim and his creators were showcasing all their amazing Halloween masterpieces using all the Idea-Oloyy, papers, inks, wooden vignette frames and other cool treasures. They are all so clever! The most recent video from Tim is of a Halloween Hoopla special event on his YouTube Channel (Tim TV to us addicts). There are 2 videos to enjoy, each filled with so much inspiration with techniques and tips, plus a few laughs along the way!
Love Tim TV. Just like Dina's and Dyan's videos, they're most entertaining, informative and inspiring! Everything from the past couple of months of releases are now in stock (except for a few that have had enjoyed their moment in the limelight and are now retired until next year).
