Tim Holtz branded Dura-Lar Clear (by Grafix) is a versatile surface suited for permanent inks and mixed media techniques. Dura-Lar Clear is a transparent film with a 110lb cover weight (0.10 inch) that is heat stable, is packed in convenient 5x7 inch sheets.
Different to acetate and plastic, Dura-Lar is ideal for use with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks, Alcohol Pearls, Alloys and Mixatives, alcohol markers (eg, Copics) as well as Distress Paints, Acrylic Paints, StazOn Ink, Sharpie Creative Markers (paint pens), texture pastes, and any other paints or mediums that will dry on non-porous surfaces.
Dura-Lar has the advantage of being non-absorbent enabling paints, inks and dies remain on top of its surface (instead of soaking in) producing brilliant vibrant effects.
This durable substrate is perfect for a wide application of arts and crafts projects including card making, scrapbooking, mixed media, small artwork for walls, bookmaking, journaling, making pockets and windows, cards, tags, general crafting for fun.
