To use Dyamond Rocks ...
- Apply Dyamond Medium (slow drying clear ink) using the ink pad or dabber bottle to your heavyweight surface (eg, Dyamond Blocks chipboard).
- Sprinkle the Dyamond Rocks (colourful embossing powder) over the top of the wet medium, tap off excess.
- Heat to melt using the Ranger Heat-it Tool. Careful, it gets very hot!
- While this layer is still hot, sprinkle over another layer of rocks and heat to melt.
- Repeat the last step to create a thick smooth layer.
- While warm, ink a stamp with Dyamond Medium and press into the warm enamel.
- Leave to cool then remove stamp.
- Apply Dyamond Dust to enhance the raised areas of the embossing.
- Add a sparkly finishing touch using Dyamond Stickles glitter glue and leave aside to dry (10 minutes).

One jar of Dyamond Rocks contains : colours are each 0.88oz (25gr) jar, clear is 3oz (85g).

Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Dyamonds collection is made by Ranger, who produce excellent quality art and craft supplies.

Below, my video using Dyamond Rocks ... Playing with clear Ranger Ultra thick embossing powder over the top of a few other colours with Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Dyamonds Hexi Chipboard and Dina Wakley MEdia Botanical Chipboard... colours are Ranger's Embossing Powder neon green (fern), Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glaze Powders (Speckled Egg, Squeezed Lemonade, on hexie under fern leaf tip), Ranger's Stickles Gel (Venus pink, Pegasus purple, Medusa green, for the flower and leaf).

I used Distress Embossing Ink Dabber which is similar to Dyamond Medium and Ranger's clear embossing ink. Use your favourite slow drying ink or medium. Also, the clear enamel (embossing powder) doesn't smell (my nose is sensitive and so temperamental) and it melts to such a beautiful smooth finish.

The Stickles Gel wasn't quite dry either but still worked. I tried stamping too but need to try again. I should have left the stamp in place a little longer. Clear ink on the stamp was useful, it helps it not stick to the melted embossing powder. Definitely worth having a go, it's so much fun to make a mess and watch the powder melt. It does take time to learn and practice with this arty treasure, so have a go, learn the steps and practice and play! Any excuse to create :D
