Arty News 2026 - May Catchup

How are you? Hasn't May flown fast? Winter has arrived and the flower seeds I planted gave up because it got too cold...! Ah well, they might grow when it gets warm again. I'll plant more seeds then too, to gee them up :) In arty news, lots has been happening - new releases from Tim, Dina and Dyan have been arriving, slowly. Better slow than not at all - and Eeyore always said, slow progress is still progress :)

The Collapsible Water Bowl is a fun and functional pop-out-and-press-flat bowl for holding water, with textured base for cleaning brushes effectly with ease. Made of lightweight durable silicon. It is 5 5/8" x 5 5/8" (14.29cm x 14.29cm) and 2" (5cm) high when expanded This pretty pink silicon bowl is so lightweight and easy to clean, you can take it everywhere. Pop out to use as a bowl, Press flat for storage and travel. It has scalloped edges for decoration as well as leaning brushes on whithout having them roll away, a hanging hole or loop for storing. Why keep using that old Vegemite jar when you could be using this wonderful treasure?

20 Minutes of Art a Day for Mental Health ... May is mental health month and Dyan is encouraging us to spend 20 minutes a day to look after our minds using doodling as the tool of choice. As she used dot grid pages from her Dylusions journals, I had cut a couple of dot grid Dyalogs in half to share with you, so you too can enjoy a peaceful 20 minutes every day drawing cool patterns on wonderful paper. Dina Wakley MEdia ... Dina has designed more essentials that we need! Stamps, cactus masks/stencil (more on the way), card-sized packs of heavyweight watercolour paper, a round coaster stencil in a cool pattern (called 'Groovy'), and rubons with beautiful collaged butterflies! ... I have dug out my Tim Holtz stamp set 'Mod Cactus cms431' to use with these, not that I've done anything with it! lol :) One day at a time! Cactus are great in art, their thorns don't hurt one bit! lol :) Did you notice they're being featured alot lately in the gardening shows too? Must be something in the air :)

Tim Holtz - Palette Paper . Teal, Blue and Indigo ... Wooo hoo! Wait until you see this gorgeous paper in real life. The Indigo is stunning, blue is beautiful (those eggs!) and teal, well, what can I say, it is my favourite! We also have oodles of Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Neutral (greys and browns) in stock. The next delivery is for Purple, Charcoal and Multi-coloured, due in July, plus that tiny huge pack of Snippets that we're all hanging out for.

Tim's Thinlits Handwritten sets of words ... still waiting. Have left this note here as it'll be June in a few weeks! The one set we have in inStore (called 'Love'), has 7 words in a wonderful natural script style. Due to unexpected issues, we missed out on the other three sets (Vacation, Celebrate, Journey) and we won't see them until June or July at the earliest. At least it is this year...
