Above is a photo borrowed from Dyan Reaveley showing a few samples she created using Dylusions Dy Cuts, Stamps, Postcards, Canvas Prints and Stencils in Journals and Dyalogs :) I hope it inspires you to get artying and craftying today!
Do you wish to buy Stamperia and or 49&Market products? Which ones? They release so very much so often (100s every 6-8 weeks, just like so many other brands! it's crazy!) ... some is quite useful and beautiful, and while we don't have the space to stock the whole kit and caboodle, if you send me your lists of wishes, I can try and order those items in.
49&Market ink pads ... The 15 colours do look beautiful and I expect every other shop in Oz has them ... including us! Reinkers are planned too as there is no point buying an inkpad if you cannot refill it. The ink pads look so juicy therefore no rush, they're not limited edition - unless there are requests for getting them sooner, they'll be inStore after Tim's Halloween and Christmas festive releases are here.
I've reorganised all our Distress ink and oxide stamp pads and their reinkers - and we have all the colours - so the 3 old wire storage thingos we got back when Dyan's paint was in round tubs are now empty (omg, an empty space! quick fill it! :) lol) and Janene's ink pads can live on those.
Comes from being a Tim Holtz addict I think, for why I took so long to decide. To me, Ink = Distress or Ranger's Archival :D I've hardly used anything else (apart from the black/white StazOn) since 2011 as nothing (in my humble opinion) is as good as Tim's ... however, Ranger has developed and manufactured the 49&Market inks (and Simon Hurley's) so are quite likely just as good as Tim's ... we all love to have it all, lol, so something tells me I'm simply overthinking it all and being a shop, should just buy it all even if the colours are similar to Distress, because, well, just because. I did ask Ranger to do a comparison between these and Tim's Distress inks - and it does look like (in Instagram) that they will layer under or over Distress, and under Distress Oxides, and will work with Archival inks too.
Just like all the thousands of pencils in jars around my artroom (and on my shop desks, in my lounge, bedroom... i love pencils), and all those gel pens and crayons and paints and all our other amazing arty treasures (which I (we) don't use all the time or all together but still love hanging around), these 49 and Market ink pads can be enjoyed however and whenever either of us fancy it. At least there are only 15 colours and they look fantastic on my shelf... I'll have a play with them later!
Excitable Note ... As you've just read, I'm often indecisive about buying in new design releases by brands we don't normally carry, but this one was easy, instant favourite - I have chosen to stock 49-and-Market's collection of bees (rubons, ephemera, 6x8inch papers), bee-cause I simply could not resist! lol The designs in "Botanical Buzz" are gorgeous. The Stamperia "Nature's Haven" die cuts are just as gorgeous too (it has frogs and ladybugs - sing out if you'd like them).
It's much easier to decide these things when Tim, Dyan or Dina have anything to do with it :D lol Everything else always requires analysis! Feel free to roll your eyes at my daft overthinking brain any time! lol ;p
Above is a banner showing a selection of the Botanical Buzz range and a few of the dye-based ink pads from 49 and Market.
The Alice in Christmas Wonderland pack is larger than it seems ... a bit like the Tardis or rabbit hole... at a glance it is 16 pages of double sided A4 printed cardstock, stickers, double sided die cut elements. Inspect it closer and you'll see there are so many elements and the imagery is stunning. No scissors required! This paper is an exceptional quality (as usual for Stamperia) with traditional festive Alice (Cheshire Cat, Hatter, White Rabbit and friends) plus fresh designs of bears, Grandfather clock, moonscapes and more for Christmas, winter, birthdays, tea time days, any excuse at all.
Below right ... This is a page inside my Dina Wakley Ledger Journal created using the 49 and Market Botanical Bees rubons and ephemera. Using Tim's Idea-ology Remnant Rubs metal tool, I applied the rubon designs all over a painted background (Dylusions Sticks and Caykes (blues) everywhere then Calypso Teal (pencils and paint) through the large Dylusions Brush Strokes Stencil). Tip, make sure the surface under the page is hard and smooth! Their ephemera die cuts are a similar weight to Tim's Paper Dolls and are a matte finish, easy to ink and tear. The back of the pack has a few hexie frames too, one I've used and stamped Dina Wakley's quote inside. I've added a few other stamped words about (grateful, breathe, remember the now from Tim's Hashtags stamp set) and used Dyan's Dylusions glue to stick it all down.
Below left ... is inside my other favourite journal, the Dylusions Ledger Square Journal with oodles of stamped images to create a queen bee and friends scene. I used black Archival Ink with the Dylusions Dinky Dolls stamp sets (all of them!) along with the Dylusions Toadstool Town bees and larger cat head from Toadstool Tales. Slowly colouring with Dylusions 'Sticks and Caykes' and the Distress watercolour pencils.

Above is a photograph from when I was playing with all the new A5 embossing folders by Tim Holtz (Sizzix) and Dina Wakley (Spellbinders), using Tim's Idea-Ology Foundation File Cards and Folios, Dina's tags and watercolour paper.
Tim's large A5 embossing folders are in designs from the past are bigger and better than ever before! He keeps releasing new designs and they are amazing. So far we have Typewriter, Lumber, Foundry, Entangled, Botanical, Cracked and Foliage. I love embossing folders, even on those days when everything happens back to front and upside down, the tactile finish of embossed cardstock always makes me smile. Use these textured 3-dimensional elements to create junk journals, samples for fun, tags and cards, ATCs, scrapbook pages and journaling (die cut into shapes, layers, pockets, texture, etc). A5 is such a fantastic versatile size at 14.8cm x 21cm!

speaking of Tim ... actually sometimes I do talk about other things you know - anyway! Last year, he said to us all he was retiring from designing and 2025 was going to be his last year of new releases (and only going to do demos and videos, because he's an art addict just like us and who could ever live without art) - but yesterday (2nd Aug), during the live for the Sizzix Halloween designs, he said he's not retiring at all - so he's changed his mind and is now simply designing at a lovely easy to manage pace, not in large quantities of a thousand things a minute! Yay! I love all the mazing things Tim dreams up for us to use and his creative team is incredibly talented. Thank you to Tim and Mario, smaller quality output is much easier to manage than the other :) I really don't know how he kept up with himself for these past 4-5 years! lol :P Our fave professor is the best and can change his mind as often as he wishes! We have oodles of products, millions of hours of video and endless inspirational photos to enjoy!
Sizzix Studio Mixed Media Kits ... Still new in my book because I've not used them all yet (it's all about me! lol :) Have you seen them? Wonderful versatile designs by Cat Kerr and Vic Hollins are beautiful with stamps and stencils to mix and match. The sets are out of this world, destined to feed our souls with daydreams of wispy clouds and gardens of cactus!

Lately my main crafty moments have only been on weekends, but here in the lounge room I recall other creative moments enjoyed throughout this past week while at work - revamping an ATC to give away, making or choosing samples, rummaging around my tissue stash, adding extra splatter to my bear artwork, designing, printing and cutting up cards and flyers, wrapping parcels (its sort of crafty to tear and scrunch paper)... then after dinner when not on my ipad typing updates or chasing dragons, I colour in drawings by Colouring Heaven, Kerby Rosannes and Johanna Basford. Sometimes I cut up stamped images, colour those in or play puzzles with Simon's Cat (not crafty but puzzles are fun) ... My daughter recently gave me some pencils that have leads made of mixed pigments, and they're wonderfully relaxing to use!
I'll colour or doodle with anything that makes a mark! A young colouring addict, started when I was 3yo colouring a book under a table while others played outside, at 7yo I was using our neighbour's coloured gravel to draw on cement footpaths, and now I use arty treasures! Ah, it's hard living the life I love! lol :D
Thanks for checking our latest news. More info to be added as it arises, plus pics will be nice :)
I feel we are so lucky to have such abundance of amazing arty treasures to collect, use and share :) Thank you so much for visiting and shopping with Art by Jenny!
