Dylusions by Dyan Reaveley Arty News! ... So exciting! Have you watched the latest news from Dyan yet? She's created gorgeous Shimmer Paints (6 colours), a very handy Cutting Mat, groovy Accessory Bag (larger than the others), and 2 new sets of Collage Sheets filled with eccentric fun designs ready for us to use in our own artwork.
I love the recent designs from Dylusions too. This fun and quirky collection of quilting and patchwork inspired stamps and stencils calls to my homespun handstitched heart. Pink Ink Designs Stamps and Stencils are inStore! ... From the UK are a wonderful collection of stamps and stencils, founded by a pair of textile artists who discovered the love of stamping! Pink Ink Designs features giraffes, lions, turtles, whales, fairies and faeries, gnomes, bees, seahorses and much more. I'm slowly adding to my collection, I mean to my shop's shelves but (yep, you know) just gotta get them online! lol :) They look beautiful and stamp / print beautifully too... fine lines, gorgeous artwork. Need to do something relaxing? Try Brush Lettering! ... Calligraphy and hand lettering is a fantastic skill to practice, especially as stamped alphabets just aren't the same as our own unique handwriting. If you can hold a pen, be it in your hand, toes or mouth (there are some incredibly clever people in our world), then you too can do Brush Lettering. Use your own enhanced handwriting to write quotes, names, days, greetings, shopping lists, anything!
Kelly Klapstein of Kelly Creates, teaches us how through easy to understand workbooks, practice papers, brush pens, metallic markers and fine pens, all in stock. The main lesson to remember? Write s-l-o-w-l-y, then go even slower! Kelly always says to allow at least 5 seconds for each individual letter...! Try it, its alot slower than it sounds. Snail paced writing encourages our minds to concentrate, which means it has to let go of all the other noise and pay all its attention to the pen and paper. Try it today, its relaxing and rewarding.
