Arty News October 2025 - All the Happenings!
It's that time of year again with new releases for all the seasons - birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Autumn, Spring, Any Excuse To Create, TopsyTurvy and Just Because. These last three seasons last 365 days a year! lol :)
As pictures tells a thousand words, here are two pics of our October 2025 brochure for you to peruse. Latest update 31st Oct :)

The following is a fun filled essay with all the happenings of our arty crafty world, chatting about new releases from our favourite people ...
Tim Holtz ...
Tim's Idea-Ology treasures have been restocked with all our new favourites! Did you watch Tim's live the other night with Heidi making a groovy little cupboard? You don't need to have a kit for that project, use all your salvaged trinkets with Idea-Ology and create to your heart's content. Mine is almost done, I shared some work in progress pics in the socials and will do a blog post in our Creative Space once it is all finished. Tim is such a fantastic inspiration and I love how all his awesome vintage inspired treasures compliment everything else, whether antique or brand new.
Tim's Christmas Idea-Ology ... looks totally wonderful, I love all the vintage imagery and beautiful festive elements! Did you watch Tim's live the other night a few weeks ago - it was with Heidi from Simon Says Stamp, and they were using watercolour pencils, watercolour paper, scissors and die cutting templates to create journal and collage fodder.
Tim's Sizzix Thinlits sets revived from the vault are all inStore! Including Noteworthy, Gift Card, Snowglobe 2, the very cool Winston the Snowman, the beautiful Holiday Greens, Jolly St Nick the running Santa Claus, Merry Moose the adorables, the wonderful fireplace "Fireside", and heaps more. Please contact me if there is one you're searching for. Thank you all for waiting with me :)

Have you seen the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Curated sets of clear stamps and combo stencils? The above is Wicked Hipsters :)
Each set includes a selection of clear stamps (not the squishy kind, these print beautifully) and one stencil featuring a combination of 2 or 3 designs from past layering stencils, with the stamps and stencils collated together so they compliment each other. The stamp designs are often from original Tim Holtz red rubber stamp sets, some from multiple sets, some are the same size while others are smaller than the originals.
Check the descriptions for these details as every set is different. If you need confirmation of sizing because you already have the red rubber stamp set, sing out and I'll measure them both again. If both are in stock, I could always take a photo of both together for you. Sometimes the measurements simply do not help, even with three or four rulers put together to create shapes!

Tim's large A5 embossing folders are Textured Fades, with designs from the past bigger and better than ever before! He has released quite a few of these amazingly huge embossing folders throughout 2025. The larger size is so versatile, saving time joining pieces to cover larger boxes or cards. Look out for Typewriter, Lumber, Foundry, Entangled, Botanical, Cracked, Foliage, Kaleidoscope and Engraved plus Cobblestone, Brickwork and Numbered. I love these huge embossing folders :)

Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions ...
Purrfectly fab new Dyamond Boards (preprimed chipboard shapes) in cat heads, skulls, circles, diamonds and squares are here. Did you see that we have Dyan's Adhesive Backed Canvas back again? Love this stuff - you can stamp it, cut it, die cut it (roll through a few times or use Bigz dies), colour it with crayons, sticks, paints, markers, inks or sprays, use as collage in the background or as a featured pic.
Dyan's new colours of Dyamond Rocks (ultra thick embossing powder) are beautiful metallics inspired by rocks and gemstones. I do love the effects embossing powders create, it's like enamel without the solvents - and it only takes minutes to use, melt and wait to cool. Clean up is quick too, simply work over a sheet of clean dry paper that was folded in half and use the paper as a spout to pour back into the jar. FYI, ultra thick embossing powder can be used as an outline, lettering, filling in areas, with or without imprinting stamped designs (using stamps or found objects). It's all good fun :)
I love stamps don't you? Dyan has shrunk a few popular heads and bodies, cats, words and accessories and has named them Dylusions Dinky Dolls - 4 sets to collect, use and share. They're a free-of-rules way to to create people / characters in artwork, plus they work with all sizes of art from ATCs and Rollodex cards to large altered books and everything inbetween!

The gorgeous colourful Dylusions Caykes and Sticks (watercolour paints in 12 Dylusional colours) are so smooth and vibrant. My Caykes are starting to get messy and I've put a sheet of tissue under my Sticks so they're easier to pick up, a bit like how battery compartments have that bit of ribbon. It's good they look messy I think, it's proof that I've actually had (made) time for artying and craftying! lol :) I must update my craft blog hey? What have you made lately?
Other essentials we all need are the Dylusions Archival Inks, Sprays, Paints, Shimmers, waterbrushes (easy to fill, fab to use), nesting boxes that are perfect for storage or giftboxes (and superb to alter with paints, pens or collage), a huge shoulder bag in a beautiful bold print (to match the accessory bags and apron) and much more!

Dina Wakley MEdia ...
Thankfully bears and birds don't get jealous because Dina's newest releases have arrived and knocked them off the first page of our "What's New" category! Beautiful Christmas designs from her BetterPress / Spellbinders collection (die cutting and printing plates, no special tools required as they work the same as Sizzix and Tim's products with only a juggle with which shims to use.
The BetterPress plate system is still available if you would like it, I might pop it online as a special order product as we don't have room to store them.

Dina's BP designs are beautiful and that embossing folder is gorgeous! Use the BetterPress plates with Ranger, Tim and Dyan's Archival Inks, any Distress or Oxide inks, or Dina's BetterPress Inks (which are simply slower drying Archival inks in gorgeous colours). For best results, either use any slowish drying ink or be organised! Mind you, I'm slow at using my Big Shot and the Archival inks worked just fine :) I know I say it all the time, but I love how all our favourites work together so beautifully! Make art your way and enjoy every moment!

49 and Market ...
Inside your October parcel is a sample of the gorgeous white Irresistible Rubon Transfers by Vicki Boutin and 49-and-Market. As you'll see soon, the quality of the rubons are equal to Tim's Remnant Rubs. These white rubons are fantastic as they are, or used as a resist under all your favourite watersoluble ink pads, sprays, watercolour markers and watercolour paints!
The photo above shows a closeup of Distress Texture Paste "Twinkle" over a colourful Dylusions ink spray background which was sprayed over both stencils/masks (butterfly and leaves) and the white rubons (tiny butterflies, word thankful, patterns, handwritten script). The phrases over the top of the big butterfly are Tim Holtz Idea-Ology stickers.

Our shelf of the gorgeous Botanical Buzz beautiful papers, rubons and ephemera are fast disappearing ... once gone, they're gone!
