Arty Update - Latest News for January 2021

All you need is love and art!

My art journal page featured in today's blog post was made featuring a musical theme, inspired by disco, 60s and 70s faves (The Beatles, Bee Gees and Cat Yusuf Stevens) and gorgeous colours! Hope it makes you smile :)

How it was made ... First make an ultra bright background with your fave Dylusions acrylic paint colours. Then mask the 2 front silhouette stencils (use the inner shapes, temporary purple tape on the back holds in place) and blend over them with darker paint along the bottom section. Add the backup dancers using smaller silhouettes stencils. I traced them with a black paint pen then coloured them in with paint. Take off the front masks, then when dry, draw on them with white and black paint pens or paint with a brush. Lastly, add stars by blending Stickles Glitter Gel through a stencil. It really is so much brighter and sparklier in real life!
I'll publish a blog post soon, with photographic step-by-steps so its easier to understand :)

Have you heard? Ranger and Tim's next newest Distress colour, number 4, will be announced in less than a week... can't wait to see what it will be! I've made a bundle for it as a preorder and individual treasures are all available to PreOrder as well (just by the regular "choose any 1" item). There'll be 2 new sets of pins too... bit by bit, we're gathering all the Distress colours into wearable art :)

Darkroom Door is having a fresh delivery of favourites arriving within the next 2 weeks! On their way are a few Stamp Sets (don't forget, if you need them trimmed before I post them to you, let me know!), Quote Stamps perfect for cards, journal pages and diaries, Eclectic designs for adding everywhere, Background Stamps to create wonderful textured patterns within shapes or in backgrounds, and much more.

Tim Holtz Tonic Studio Deckle Trimmer ... has been delayed again, but will hopefully be back in stock again late March. Other favourite treasures that were delayed are the Snarky Cat Stamps (arriving in a couple of weeks!!! Yay!) and Field Notes Stamps, which had a fleeting visit but more on their way, also in a couple of weeks! The newest Sizzix designs (Chapter 1 of 2021) will have more arriving in a while, some in March but others much sooner. If you'd like any of them saved for you or simply be notified, I'm here to help.

At least we have our other favourites to use while we wait. So grateful for every day! Thank you for spending time in my corner of the world:)
