Most of my latest news is all about new products by our Tim :) lol Dina, Dyan and Rachel can't get a word in edgewise cos he's dreaming up all these fantastic new ideas almost every week! Lucky we think he's pretty awesome so its totally fine :) I will catch up! The latest news from our other favourite designers is in this blog post too, simply scroll down a little to read all about it.

Tim Holtz Distress Paints from the Vault Update ... Last ones are in stock! Quantities are very limited and we cannot get any more, therefore be quick! Or not :) Be you and do whatever you wish, the world will surely adapt :) Thanks for being part of my arty world!
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday 14th May. My Vegemite (can't believe I've been a Mum for 25 years) came to visit on Mother's Day (14th May), and it was so wonderful to spend precious time together.
On Saturday afternoon I made an interactive layered card for my Mum using that gorgeous "Blossom" die by Tim Holtz and Sizzix (coloured using Distress Paints) with leaves, a bird and dragonfly from the pack of Idea-ology Organics die cuts. The background was created using a Distress Ink blend then stamped with Darkroom Door Abstracts Stamp designs. After it was dry, I applied Tim Holtz Distress Snowfall Grit Paste through Tim's fab pattern of rainbows "Brush Arch" stencil. For a spot of wibbly wobbly fun, I attached Action Wobbles underneath the flower and dragonfly. I went around afterwards adding white spots and splatters using white paint.
Above photos... the first photo shows the layers of the Sizzix 'Blossom' Thinlits with the Idea-Ology 'Organics' Dragonfly - the second photo is a closeup of the Distress Snowfall Grit Paste with Distress Crayon rubbed over after it was dry.
Arty Tim News ...
The other night while we were sleeping, Tim announced another new must have essential craft tool - Tim Holtz Tonic Studios Media Surface Mat ... It is a craft workspace that works with (or without) the large Glass Media Mat. He explains it all in the live demo you'll find on Tim TV (in YouTube) and it has landed (late May)! Find it in the 'What's New!' shelf with photos and lots of details. I'm here to help if you have questions :)
The week before, Tim and Ranger released the latest in Distress range - a Multi Purpose Storage Tin (that is now in stock, looking fabulous) and re-released from the vault, retired Distress Paints in selected colours for a limited time only (only until Ranger runs out, hopefully we should have more late May).

The groovy new stackable storage tin fits more than Distress Paints, it also fits the glass Reinkers, mini sized Sprays (the set of 3 metallic Mica Stains as well as those seasonal sprays that Tim releases each Halloween and Christmas), Dylusions and Dina Wakley MEdia acrylic paint bottles, Dylusions Shimmer Sprays and any other bottles and containers you have of a similar size to all of these. Like all the Ranger and Tim empty storage tins, it is made of silver coloured light durable metal with a see-through window and hinged lid.
All of Tim's brand newest stamps and stencils are awesome! How beautiful are the tiny floral patterns? So hard to decide which is my favourite this time round, so all of them are :) lol The new Etcetera Thickboard Facades are interesting too. Each pack has 4 frames with the inner pieces as well as a heap of strips - so versatile, and made of the hardwood kind of artboard that will accept anything we through at it.
BWTM - the long awaited Idea-Ology Figure Stands arrived this week and are so awesome. I have no idea what I'm going to do with mine but they'll look amazing on my shelf while I decide :)
The wonderfully versatile essentials in the Idea-Ology range are inStore with more continually on the way because they're all beautiful and I "need" more!
The above art journal page was made in my Dina Wakley MEdia Kraft Journal using layers of tissue, Transparent Things, Organics die cut pieces and more. I do love that dragonfly (Organics pack) and having lots of ready to use beautiful vintage birds that inspires more colourful creativity (like I need a reason? lol). Birds are like dragonflies, beetles and frogs, they go with everything!

While you're visiting Tim's video channel to watch his fantastic demo this weekend or any of the replays, check out his Rotary Media Trimmer video. This professional trimmer has durable geared blades that glide through almost anything we use, from lightweight tissue to 1.2mm thick Sizzix Mat Board. It cuts straight too, without that wobble (might just be me).
The Tim Holtz Rotary Trimmer is a very handy tool for quilling, crafting, cutting thick board for die cutting with Bigz Dies, making tissue shredding for fillers, cardmaking, scrapbooking and much more. Cut straight edges with ease and precision!
Fresh Shimmer Colours and Dy Cuts by Dylusions
Have you seen the gorgeous Shimmer Paint Colours, hilarious Back Chat Stickers and packs of Dy Cuts (die cut pieces ready to use) from Dyan Reaveley? The Dy Cuts are very cool, will be so handy to have heads and bodies ready to use. As expected, the colours are simply beautiful and the Bigger Back Chat stickers are funnier than ever.
Most of us Dylusionists (fans of Dylusions) would love to create with Dyan in real life, but at least we have the next bestest thing, a huge selection of arty treasures by our amazing designer and artist!

Fresh designs and versatile products from Dina Wakley MEdia include Collage Sparks, Coaster Stencils, Collage Tissue and gorgeous bright Paints have arrived and those colours are so beautiful, bright and full of ooompf. All Dina's previous releases of stamps, stencils, Transparencies and Collage Sheets are inStore too! The Transparencies are fantastic, much more than a sheet of plastic, its smooth and crystal clear similar to Tim's new Dura-Lar by Grafix - like clear plastic packaging but clearer and thinner (so easy to cut).
To stamp or create on plastic or transparencies, Dina says to use paint or Archival Inks to add colour or print patterns. Being a non-porous surface, it just takes a bit longer to dry. For those of us who want something a bit faster to work with, I've now got in stock the Tsukineko's StazOn Pigment Ink Pad in black and white. Just as the reviews stated (I researched before deciding), this ink dries fast and remains opaque, better than the original StazOn (which is slightly transparent) and as its a stickier ink, it doesn't seem to slip and slide about (could be the user, me).
Darkroom Door have released more beautiful new stamps - have you seen them yet? We have everything inStore now, just need to get my turbo skates on to add it online! We have eyes, labels, textures, quotes, beautiful florals and more :)
Darkroom Door design and produce excellent quality stamps out of red rubber that give great results every time. They're local too, only up the road and round the corner from us (give or take 1000km or so).

Speaking of awesome stamps - Pink Ink Designs keep designing beautiful sets and I'm a tad behind getting them all online, but I will get there... they're all so beautifully illustrated. These are the clear kind of stamps, however they're durable good quality ones that are not squishy and they print beautifully every time. Visit the shop Pink Ink Designs shelf to see what we have and bookmark it to watch for new arrivals :) Or ask me if you can't see it, because it is bound to be on my desk!
