Art and Craft News
A new stamp arrived today amongst a stash of Hero Arts stencils and these Stampendous stamps. We are also now in stock of the craft essential, Glossy Accents.
I almost lost my latest order of arty treasures, but good ol' Aussie Post came to the rescue and delivered it today. Phew :) So relieved. I don't like it much when orders go on holidays. Didn't even get a postcard! But its all good now :D
So this frog stamp also arrived (by Stampendous) - Tutu Toad. Not quite a frog in their eyes, but its a totally gorgeous frog in mine. Frogs or toads or even tadpoles, love them all.
Can you see Toad from Kenneth Grahame's "Wind in the Willows" dancing in Swan Lake? I can! He's such a fun (but naughty) character. He'd put his whole self into the dance too :) Doesn't do anything by halves!
I inked my new friend with my Distress Watercolour Markers using Mowed Lawn and Picked Raspberry, then added the Picket Fence after it had dried. The gold crown was inked with Sakura's metallic gold gel pen (available in a pack of 3, silver, gold and white).
To stamp with markers, simply colour your stamp, give it a huff and stamp onto your project. Any water-based markers will work using this technique - including Faber Castell, Crayola and Stampin' Up.
Have a go with any stamp - its fun!
