Funny Bunny Starry Night Easter Art
Happy Arty Easter! Some days I rely heavily on coffee and my ability to ignore reality!

To soothe my frazzled mind, I finished a page I started March 2025, shown below.

Originally, I've printed a background illustration using the gorgeous flowers in Tim Holtz Floristry and French Garden stamp sets (in Black Soot Archival ink) with selected pieces from the Tidbits stamp set around them (using Speckled Egg and Balmy Night Archival ink).

The background and pink flowers were coloured (above) with Dylusions, Distress and Dina sprays - as sprays, splattered and with a paint brush.

There's also selected areas of Distress Translucent Crackle Paste through stencils, like this corner shown above.

Next was to do is decide which stamped images and Idea-ology dolls to stick down and colour in. Every time I ink up stamps, I print far more than I need which gives me a healthy stash of ready to use images. So handy! Of course I still always need to stamp out more! lol At this rate my stash will take years to get used up!
Eventually I glued down the princess Idea-ology twins and the stamped images, then turned the page to begin something else without taking a photo!
A year later... After colouring in the Dylusions Funny Bunny with watercolour pencils, I painted the background to cover up the original weird yellowy-greeny colour.

I first added black shading around the characters to make them stand out, then rubbed around Distress Crayon in Salvaged Patina which made it worse. Thinking pink might break it all up, I added smooshes of Distress Paint in Saltwater Taffy - it didn't improve anything.
Use your imagination if you need to see my mess, it was all too pewky for pics! 😂
Next I dried off that, painted Distress Mica Stain around the cat bubbles, and Dylusions Shimmer Spray onto the bunny's goggles, then dug out the Dina Wakley Night acrylic paint. An almost black dark blue.
That eased my eyes, so I painted it everywhere, let it dry, splattered on Distress Spritz Tumbled Glass, dried that, then splattered white Dina Wakley glossy paint. It is much easier to fix a painting or journal page than a website!

I coloured the crowns with markers and added Ranger Stickles everywhere, on the crowns, shoes, skirts, and flowers (Tim Holtz Thinlits Abstract Flowers).
I hope you're having a Happy relaxing day too, doing whatever you love with (or without) your favourite people 🐰🎨 Happy Easter!
:)
Jenny
