Palette Paper Makes by Jenny - Yellow
What do you do when you've got an afternoon away from work? Art art and more art! lol π¨π«πΆπ»

I started the above page with a background made using the 12x12 yellow Palette Paper Collection, the sheet with collage strips one side and beautiful tiny floral print (instant fave) on the other.

I used the deckle trimmer to cut a square of collage (shown on the right above), then cut long narrow strips of tiny floral to make a border. Over the border I glued down sheets of pretty scribbly flowers from Tim's 'Serendipity' Collage Tissue using an old paint brush with Distress Collage Medium. I paint the back of the tissue with the gel medium, then paint the area I want it to go. Place the wet tissue carefully so it doesn't tear, the gently brush it smooth.

The cats, which are all Dylusions Dyamond Boards, were altered with collage and embossing techniques.Β For 3 cat heads I used the gorgeous dimensional colours (left to right above, Cherry Pie, Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange) of Dylusions Dyamond Rocks ultra thick embossing powder.

I stamped into the ultra thick embossing powder (while it was still hot) using Dyan's cat face stamp from 'Churchill and Friends' (DYR10024), and Tim Holtz stamps 'Scribbles and Spirals' (cms296).

The other cats were collaged with the yellow, orange and red Idea-ology Palette Papers ... glued, fussy cut around the shape then inked around the edges with Distress Archival Frayed Burlap and Dylusions Desert Sand Mini Ink Pads.

I used the same two inkpads to stamp designs from Darkroom Door Abstract Hearts and Tim's Scribbles and Spirals onto 4 of the cats. The above photo is before ink was applied to the cats, and below is after.

The cat face had her features enhanced with black paint pen and quote is from Tim's Idea-ology Snarky Stickers... I've got it all together, but I forgot where I put it! π

Love all the texture and different styles created on this page.

All is groovy!
Have a fantastic creative Happy week! π»π»π«π¨πΆ Jenny
