Tim Holtz's Distress Embossing Pens, 2 (two) Bullet Tip and Brush Tip Markers with Clear Slow Drying Ink - by Ranger.
Tim's Distress Ink Embossing Pens are specially formulated with a clear Distress Ink that stays damp for a minute or so, enough time to prepare your design and sprinkle your embossing powder. The ink holds the powder in place until it is melted using a heat tool which melts the powder into a permanent, raised layer with the look of enamel.
The Embossing Pens with their bullet and brush tips are great for tracing in stencils, around masks, filling in areas of stamps (for colouring with embossing powders for an enamel finish), calligraphy, lettering, drawing, writing titles, names, outlining, spot embossing, fine stencil work and more.
Use for all visual arts and crafts including mixed media, scrapbooking, card making, stamping and art journaling projects. Ideal to use for creating a resist or watermark as well.
To Use Embossing Pens :
- write or draw with the pen to apply ink onto your surface around stencils, freehand, handwriting or doodling.
- while wet, sprinkle with your the embossing powder.
- tap off the excess powder.
- using a heat tool, gently heat up the embossing powder until it melts.
- be careful as the hot air is very very hot!
- sometimes heating from underneath your cardstock helps give an even coverage.
- make sure the heat tool is not too close and is constantly moved around so the cardstock and embossing powder does not burn.
- leave to cool (doesn't take long).
