Tim Holtz Distress Grit Paste in Crypt is a pumice stone coloured (greyish brownish grungy, perfect for making things old or spooky) and semi-translucent (cloudy but sort of see through) texture paste with black flecks, designed for dimensional effects in papercrafts, visual arts and mixed media. It will dry on a variety of visual arts surfaces, both porous and non-porous.

Add dimension and texture to all kinds of papercrafts, mixed media artworks, display projects, journaling, cardmaking, crafts, collage, scrapbooking and other visual arts adventures. It is able to be stained before or after application (see below).

Apply with a paintbrush, spatula, palette knife, finger or silicon art tool. Dab with your finger around edges, paint or spread paste freehand or blend through stencils for defined shapes and patterns with gritty sandy effects.

Grit Paste can be stained different tones before you begin or after you have applied the paste to your project. Whichever you wish!
- Before : Mix in a few drops of Distress Paint, Reinkers or Oxide Reinkers, or acrylic paint on your craft mat or paint palette. Being a clear based product, the colours may be lighter than the original. Apply to your project and let air dry or use a heat tool.
- After : apply the grit paste as normal with a brush or spatula and let dry completely. Add colour using any of your favourite mixed media methods with inks, paints or sprays.

Clean up all tools and accessories with water before it is dry.
