Long Fasteners (split pins, 3mm x 12mm long) ... Idea-Ology Metal Brads by Tim Holtz ... beautifully crafted and durable, these split pins or brads are the ideal fastener to use to attach layers and embellishments in visual arts of all kinds. Pack of 99 (ninety) fasteners (approx 1/8" wide, 1/2" long) in three vintage colours (pewter, copper, brass). 

FYI, out of Tim's Idea-Ology split pin range, these are the middle sized ones. The smallest are called "Screw Top Fasteners", largest are called "Large Fasteners".

Long slender metal brads with round flat tops approx 3mm wide, for attaching layers, paper, buttons, trinkets and other embellishments to your scrapbook page, art journal, junkjournal, book cover, mixed media, display make and other creative adventure.

Whether you are looking for a unique and attractive way to hold your album closed or add in some contemporary embellishments these long fasteners are long enough to hold your layers and flexible enough to open and close by hand. You can attach practically anything to your project with ease.

These brads or split pins are light and easy to use - these fasteners won't weigh down your creation. Easy to use : make a tiny hole in your project using a Tim Holtz Retractable Craft Pick (sold separately), push the fastener through and bend back the 2 pins so they lie flat. I use the pick to bend back the pins as well.

Use as they are or alter them to suit your project using distress techniques, alcohol inks, faux enamel with Distress Embossing Glaze and heat embossing, Distress Paint, add texture and grit pastes and more.
