Tim Holtz Idea-Ology - Metal Adornments - Pulley Wheels - 4 Pieces
Pulley Wheels ... Idea-Ology Adornments by Tim Holtz. Vintage inspired metal wheels with screw top attachment for use to make interactive or non-moving visual arts. Each piece is realistic miniature of a pulley wheel, enabling you to make things move on 3D cards, trolleys, boxes, interactive mixed media, decorated display decor and more. Pack of 4 (four) pulley wheels.
Perfect to use with Vignette Boxes and Trays, these Idea-Ology Pulley Wheels are real ... the wheels move and the screw-top fastener at the top of the post enables you to fix it to a wooden box or artboard surface. Another idea is to use them as wheels - like a little cart :)
To make your artwork move, use string or elastic to wind around the wheel and the item you wish to move, (so it is a loop), then when you turn the wheel, it should life or turn your item.
Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Metal Adornments are finished in an antique style pewter colour. Ideal for all kinds of excuses to create - visual arts, sculpture, mixed media canvas, decorating trays, clocks, boxes and frames, bookmaking (an interactive cover anyone?).
Sizes (approx) : overall each piece is 1" x 1 1/2" high. Each wheel is 1" x 1", and 1/4" wide (enabling a thick string (like on Emma Williams' trolley) to be used or a fine cord, whichever suits your make).
Use with fasteners, brads, collage medium, string, ribbon, twine. With an antique nickel finish, the metal pieces are perfect as they are but also easy to alter and add colour using alcohol inks, Distress Paints, texture pastes, and or Distress Crayons. To personalise any metal piece using watercolours, inks and other water-based mediums, simply prepare with a thin coat of clear, white or black gesso before you begin.
This package contains : 4 (four) interactive metal embellishments.
Made by Advantus Corp for Tim Holtz. TH93580.
Note from Jenny ... I've created the little diagram to show how pulleys can work to lift something, like an Idea-Ology Barrel and or a Salvaged Resin Rabbit! Nothing is to size, and are only shown together to create an example.
