Brush Arch - Layering Stencil by Tim Holtz ... organic inky arches. Made by Stampers Anonymous (THS168), tag is approx 4" x 8 1/2" in size.

What do you see in this fantastic pattern? I see retro rainbows, waves in an ocean, cloudy skies (upside down), leafy shrubs ... this wonderful design could be whatever you want - even a textured patten in the background with no name :) You do You!

Stencils are fantastic tools for layering, creating backgrounds, filling spaces, adding textures, blending colours. Use in all kinds of visual arts projects including art journals, mixed media, cardmaking, scrapbooking, ATCs, tags, papercrafts, home decor, models and frames.

Use stencils with a wide variety of art supplies - paints, pastels, markers, pencils, gesso, texture paste, mediums, glitter gels, modeling pastes, and other favourite arty treasures.

Tim Holtz Layering Stencils are made of a creamy coloured, thin durable, semi-translucent plastic. Easy to clean by wiping off with a wet cloth or using soap and water for paints, mediums and pastes (before it dries).

Stencil size (approx) : 10.5cm x 21.5cm (4" x 8 1/2").

Designed by Tim Holtz and made by Stampers Anonymous.

This design is also available in a set of smaller stencils called Tim Holtz Mini Layering Stencils Set no.55 (sold separately).

A few ideas : simply use a sponge or stencil brush to apply your paint or ink through the stencil's design onto the area required. Great for creating multiple layers in art. For best results, make sure each layer is dry before adding more paint or ink over the top unless you want a blended or marbled effect. Use to create texture and interest on a background or within other shapes.
You can also trace in and around the design with a pencil or pen, or place a sheet of paper over the stencil and rub over with a crayon or pencil.

Let your heart and imagination guide your art as you enjoy the creative process!
