Mini Lumber - 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder ... by Tim Holtz and Sizzix (no.665460). Embossing Folder with timber slats is (approx) 2 7/8" x 4 1/2"  with the hinge at the short edge. Use to create multi-dimensional patterns in paper and cardstock for mixed media, papercrafts and visual arts. 

Mini Lumber is a natural looking woodgrain pattern featuring panels of timber covering the whole surface of the embossing folder - the timber slats go across the short length of the folder. This versatile design will inspire you to create cards, tags, pockets for pages, layers of wonderful texture to use in your crafts.

A Texture Fades Embossing Folder is a tool used in papercraft and mixed media for adding dimension to card, papers, metallic foils, vellum and some textiles. It is made of durable plastic, hinged at the short end (generally referred to as "top").

To use, simply place your paper or card inbetween the plastic and run through your favourite machine. The paper or card will be pressed into shape, giving a raised dimensional effect.

Sizzix says...
For bolder results, mist a very fine spray of water onto both sides of the paper or card before use and pass the folder through your machine one to three times and let dry. This will help make the design deeper and more permanent. It needs to be thoroughly dry before applying or distressing with ink.

Sizzix 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folders are compatible with most die cutting and embossing hand-cranked machines including the BIGkick, Big Shot, Big Shot Switch Plus and Vagabond machines using a single Cutting Pad and the machine's included Platform.
